You will be creating a facebook-like page for a character in Macbeth. Instead of posting it on facebook, you'll be creating it here.
Basic Requirements (highest possible grade is a B if all is done nearly perfectly):
· Choose a character. You can choose any character. You will need to be very familiar with your character, returning to the play for a review of his/her motivations, conflicts, dilemmas, etc.
· Include a picture of your character.
· Choose five other friends, all characters from the play.
· Status.
· Four comments from friends on wall, all in character.
· Five fan pages (movies, celebrities, books, etc.).
· Two "notes" (blog posts, grammatically-correct, in character).
· Bio details: location, marital status, education and employer, etc.
· Bio MUST include a quotation from the play, one your character actually said.
· All sources of pictures used will be listed at the bottom of your page.
Extras (required if you want a chance at an A on this project):
You need to do at least two of the following:
· Include at least one friend (beyond the five required) who's from another literary work, and be prepared to justify why your character would be friends with him/her. One of the comments should be from this character, and this should show why you've chosen him/her.
· Write an extra "note" from your character.
· Add at least four facebook applications that your character might use.
· Add another two characters as friends.
· Add a "graffiti" that your character might draw (draw a picture in a digital medium, post it on the page, and call it drawn by your character).
Steps:
1. Go to the template and click on it, then cut and paste into a new page, linked from your class's projects page.
2. Replace writing in the template with your character's information, etc.
3. Find photos (you can use the "load" feature and copy and paste location or you can upload photos). REMEMBER TO PROVIDE LINKS TO THE PHOTOS YOU UPLOAD OR USE IN THE "SOURCES" AREA!
4. When inserting photos, include captions with the name of the character, person, movie, etc.---then it shows up automatically.
5. Arrange page to make organized, even, balanced, etc.
6. Edit your writing for grammar, spelling, usage, diction. Remember, you are to remain in character throughout!
